چکیده

We report the development of an in situ real-time light scattering technique to study the wet chemical etching process of Si~100!. Based on a simple scattering theory, the number of etch pits and other statistical parameters such as correlation length and interface width on a pitted surface are extracted from the scattering profile. The time evolution of the surface morphology can be interpreted by a simple rate equation. © 1996 American Institute of Physics. @S0003-6951~96!02528-4#

Real-time monitoring of oxidative etching on single Ag nanocubes via light-scattering dark-field microscopy imaging.

A low-cost and easily-conducted light-scattering dark-field microscopy imaging (iDFM) technique for real-time and in situ monitoring of the oxidative etching on a single Ag nanocube was presented by using an ordinary dark-field microscopy system, which provides an alternative approach to study the behaviors of metal nanoparticles in chemical reactions and biological processes at the single nano...

همبستگی تخلخل با زبری توسط طیف پراکندگی سطوح نانویی سیلیکان متخلخل

Reflection spectra of four porous silicon samples under etching times of 2, 6, 10, and 14 min with current density of 10 mA/cm2 were measured. Reflection spectra behaviors for all samples were the same, but their intensities were different and decreased by increasing the etching time. The similar behavior of reflection spectra could be attributed to the electrolyte solution concentration which ...

Effect of Silicon Nanowire on Crystalline Silicon Solar Cell Characteristics

Nanowires (NWs) are recently used in several sensor or actuator devices to improve their ordered characteristics. Silicon nanowire (Si NW) is one of the most attractive one-dimensional nanostructures semiconductors because of its unique electrical and optical properties. In this paper, silicon nanowire (Si NW), is synthesized and characterized for application in photovoltaic device. Si NWs are ...

Real-time monitoring for the morphological variations of single gold nanorods.

The morphological characteristics of metal nanoparticles, particularly the shape, play an essential role in the optical, physical and chemical properties. In this work, we reported a transverse etching process to investigate the morphological variations of single gold nanorods (GNRs). Dark-field microscopy and Rayleigh scattering spectroscopy were used as complementary technologies to track the...

Combined optical, surface and nuclear microscopic assessment of porous silicon formed in HF-acetonitrile

A new type of HF solution, HF-acetonitrile (MeCN), has been employed to produce 10–30 Am thick porous silicon (P-Si) layers by photoelectrochemical etching of different types of Si wafers, Si(100), Si(111) and polycrystalline Si, with different resistivities. A combined optical, surface and nuclear microscopic assessment of these P-Si layers was performed using photoluminescence (PL), Raman sca...
